A reckless Fuso driver yet to be identified has been arrested by Jinja police for injuring five (5) Pilgrims who were heading to Namugongo.
The accident happened today at 4 pm at mile six (6) after Mafubira trading center.
The victims have been identified as John Baptist Basole, Taaka Ronnie, Nambuya Jennifer and two others who were riding on a boda boda.
According to an eyewitness, the driver who was overspeeding made a U-Turn in the middle of the road and started driving the heavy lorry from the wrong side of the road.
The injured have been taken to Jinja Main Hospital.
Meanwhile, the driver is still at Jinja Police Station as investigations kick-off.
