As preparations for this year’s martyrs day celebrations close in ahead of 3rd june for millions of pilgrims from all over the world to come and pay homage to the Uganda, hundreds of pilgrims continue arriving at both the Catholic and Anglican Shrines to prepare for prayers in celebration of Christianity.
the day that falls on the 3rd June is observed by the Catholics,the Anglican church and the Muslim community.
According to Bishop Samuel George Bogere Egesa of Bukedi Diocese and Leader of the Eastern Cluster Church of Uganda Martyrs Day ,President Museveni will attend prayers at the Anglican church while the Arch Bishop of the Anglican Church of North America Foley Beach has been designated to be the main preacher at the Anglican shrine. 10 dioceses of the Eastern cluster will lead the 2023 Uganda Martyrs Day Celebrations at Namugongo.
