The speaker of parliament of Uganda, Rt. Hon. Anitah Among was among the top Government officials who were supposed to receive President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni in Namutumba District for the labor day celebrations.
Unfortunately due to a silent fight between her and Hon. Parsis Namuganza, she shunned the event which took place yesterday 1st May 2023 in Namutumba District Eastern Uganda.
The Vice President of Uganda, Jesica Alupo, Minister of Gender Labour and social development Hon. Amongi Betty, and state minister for Lands, Housing and urban development, Hon. Parsis Namuganza welcomed the president in Namutumba at exactly 11 am for the celebrations.
The war between Minister Namuganza and speaker Among seems not to end so soon and insiders say it is because president Museveni rejected censure of Namuganza and retained her as minister.
