Unknown assassin shoots motorcyclist in Lira City.

The male motorcyclist who was shot and injured by a gun man who trailed him on a motorbike at Otim Tom in Adyel, Lira City West Division has succumbed to the bullet wounds.

According to eye witness, the unidentified man was evacuated by the Police and rushed to Lira regional referral hospital, but he was pronounced dead on arrival.

The body has been conveyed to Lira City Mortuary at Lira regional referral hospital.

Speaking to Freeman News UG reporter, the  Resident City Commisioner, Lawrence Egole says the man has not yet been identified because he doesn't have any identification documents.

Mr Egole says the man's cell  phone has been retrieved and investigations start right away.

However, he calls for calm among the city dwellers, saying everything will be done to smoke out the assassin.
