Four Narrowly Escape Death As Ambulance Catches Fire On The Road.

 

An unfortunate incident occurred on the afternoon of June 23, 2023, as an ambulance caught fire while en route from Kagando Hospital to Mbarara Regional Referral Hospital.

The incident took place at Omumkombe village, Ntangaro, near the border of Rubirizi and Bushenyi districts, creating a situation where a patient and three other individuals narrowly escaped a potentially fatal outcome.

The ambulance, carrying the four occupants, suddenly became engulfed in flames, causing panic among the passengers and the driver.

Fortunately, the quick response of local residents who rushed to the scene of the accident resulted in the successful rescue of all those inside the vehicle.

Following the incident, all passengers were promptly transported to Combino Hospital in Kyamuhunga, Bushenyi District, where they received the necessary medical attention and assessment. The cause of the fire outbreak is yet to be established.
