A tragic road accident has claimed the lives of three people in Kabale district. Reports indicate that a Simba-bound bus, travelling from Kigali to Nairobi Kenya with registration number KCG 888F, collided head-on with a Mercedes Benz motor vehicle with a Rwandan numberplate.
The accident occurred at Kitumba, a location about 4 km from Kabale town. The cause of the accident is still unknown.
The impact of the collision resulted in the deaths of three people, while one person was injured and rushed to the hospital for medical attention. The bodies of the deceased have been taken to the hospital for post-mortem examinations.
The accident caused both vehicles to sustain significant damage. Emergency services were immediately called to the scene to assist with rescue efforts and transport the injured to the hospital.
