TROUBLE: Naaguru Hospital's theaters closed due to water disconnection.

 

Ministry of health has temporarily suspended operations at Naguru referral Hospital theaters due to luck of water supply . 

This was revealed by the ministry of health spokesperson, Mr Emma Ainebyoona.

Ainebyona says the hospital is unable to conduct any operations be it in maternity section due to water disconnection by National water and sewerage cooperation over uncleared bill amounting to 1.3bn.

The taps at Naguru referral hospital have run dry after National Water and Sewerage Corporation cut off the water supply due to accumulated unpaid bills amounting to 1.3 billion shillings. 

The hospital administrator Sheila Okodi told Freeman News-UG reporter that every quarter, the hospital receives Twenty (20) million shillings and yet the bills amount to fifty (50) million shillings.

Health ministry spokesperson Emmanuel Ainebyoona says that all the government hospitals are experiencing similar challenges due to under-funding.
