It looks like the political fight between Mbale city woman Member of Parliament, Hon Connie Nakayenze Gliwango and NRM women's league, Hon. Lydia Wanyoto Mutende is not about to end so soon.
During yesterday's women's Day celebrations, Hon, Galiwango rejected hand-shaking "rival" Wanyoto who had taken the initiative to say hello to her as she welcomed her at the venue for the celebrations.
What you need to know:-
Connie Galiwango the elected Member of Parliament for Mbale City, money her rival Wanyoto Lydia in a very tight race in the 2021 general elections.
The two have always had grudges and are always parallel to each other, it is very hard to find Wanyoto attending an event as well as Connie Gliwango, most especially in the Bugisu region.
In 2022 Connie Galiwango dismissed her rival Lydia Wanyoto's claims that she was cheated in the recently concluded elections. She has instead urged Lydia Wanyoto to accept defeat, following the poll.
Galiwango said Wanyoto has defeated her hands down with a big margin of over 16,000 votes.
