Brokers left In shock After the court Issued Interim order stopping 12 families from carrying out any activity on Dr. Kaggwa's contested land in Wakiso.

A scuffle ensued at the High court land division yesterday 24th July 2023 after an interim order was issued stopping twelve (12)  families from carrying out any activity on contested land in Wakiso district.

The drama started after brokers trading in the areas of Nansana, Bwaise and Wakiso who have been on chase to grab Dr Apollo Kaggwa Lutakome’s land  started accusing each other sabotaging their deal and deviating from their original plan.

On Tuesday 4th July 2023 Dr Apollo Kaggwa (75yrs) reported how the State Minister for Lands Sam Mayanja used his position to rob him of his land that house a series of projects set out for his retirement plan worth billions of money in Wakiso, Mayanja is reported to have given the land to twelve (12) people unknown to Dr Kaggwa disguised as squatters.

This prompted Dr Kaggwa to run to court to secure an interim order and an injunction eventually restraining the purported squatters from returning on his land measuring 28 acres comprised of in Busiro Block 248, plots 9, 49, 73, 75, 76, and 77 in the  villages of Kakunyu, Nsekwa, Mabombwe, Musisi and Namusera in Mende Sub county Wakiso district.

To the utter shock of everyone court was filled to capacity despite the fact that the alleged complainants are merely 12 of which the land lord Dr Apollo Kaggwa could hardly identify anyone if he was asked to.

It was later discovered that majority of the attendees at court were just goons mobilized to paralyze proceedings and cause harm to Kaggwa’s camp.

To seek public sympathy the alleged 12 squatters who are none existent were disguised as old women and men accompanied by noisy making women and youths who could hardly mention a thing about the land they claimed to own.

The mobilizers had planned to cause mayhem at court by engaging in distracting court proceedings and coercing the  presiding  registrar and judge  to give judgment in their favour, but all did failed to take shape  after the mobilized groups  declined to engage in commotion inside court premises despite having received money to  cause the violence.

Some of the goons declined to take action claiming the money given to them were peanuts considering the job they were going to execute and along the way they engaged in a scuffle with their mobilizers who were asking them to refund part of the money.

Because the groups had been mobilized from different slums they lacked a command center after the purported commander a one Dog as he is known disappeared with one million shillings they had been given to share once they succeeded with the mission.

It is reported that Dog owned the biggest number of troops and was mobilized by a common radio caller Wasswa Bukenya who only came to discover that Dog had failed their mission when the proceedings went on uninterrupted contrary to an earlier plot.

When questioned by his colleagues on how the deal had failed to materialize a helpless Wasswa retorted by hurling insults towards his fellow brokers which culminated into a scuffle. “Ombuuza nga ani” literally meaning you are asking me as who.

It took the intervention of their colleagues who proposed that they talk out the matter away from court after realizing that police would arrest them and cause their questioning. It has been established that some of the brokers behind this scam belong to Ssosolye and Mazima brokers with offices in Nansana, Wakiso and Bwaise, and have on several occasions paid journalists and radio presenters to drum support for them promising them plots in return if the brokers successfully secure the land from the minister.

Journalists at court were surprised to hear most of the goons asking for who and where Dr Kaggwa was seated in court but they were later informed by their mobilizers that he had not attended court thus aborting the plan of hurting Dr Kaggwa if he had happened to be at court.

Reports coming in indicate that those that attended the proceedings had been paid between 50,000 to 100,000 shillings depending on the role they were going play.

Taxes were also mobilized to transport them to court but many of them were abandoned at court as their leaders chose to run way on bodabodas after receiving news that court had granted an injunction in favour of Dr Kaggwa.

The State Minister Sam Mayanja last evening also got a fresh dose of exchange after the ball was kicked back into the hands as the brokers are now running back to him asking him about the next course of action after realizing that they may end up losing the land and the money they had already advanced to the minister and his accomplices. You can recall that this website reported that the brokers were demanding two things either their money or titles to the land which at this material time can no-longer be delivered.

The one billion shillings earlier advanced to either camps may end up not salvaged as they await final hearing of the court cases filed next month.

In the first round it is reported that out of the five cases filled Dr Apollo Kaggwa had so far won two of the cases which negatively pitting the claimants against him and may further affect their demand for the monies and plots of land they had been promised.

Upon exiting court premises everyone went in disarray and there was nothing in unison for the alleged claimants to talk about.

We have also established that the brokers are also turning the guns to the Resident district Commissioner Justine Mbabazi and Division Police Commander Robert Katuramu who are reportedly also at logger heads about money sharing related issues with either party accusing the other of greed. Mbabazi claims as security chair of the area she needed a big share to quench the thirst among her staff while the DPC also claims that he can’t eat alone without wetting the beaks of his staff and to also guard against backfire that may come considering the direction the deal is taking.

When reached out for comments none of could pick up or call back. We shall furnish you with more details about the outcome of the cases up for hearing.
