ED KISAKA APPLAUDS THE SUPPORT FROM UNDP TOWARDS KAMPALA CITY DEVELOPMEN.



The UNDP Representative Elsie Attafuah has reiterated her support to Kampala City in addressing the housing challenges in the city. She was speaking today 6th July 2023, in Entebbe at a workshop that attracted key stakeholders from the Ministry of Lands, Buganda Land Board, and KCCA. 





The Minister of State for Lands Hon. Persis Namuganza underscored the need to involve the persons living in the slums in the development conversations. 

Kampala City Council Executive Director, Dr. Dorotyhy  Kisaka applauded the support from UNDP, saying Kampala city development requires the key stakeholders to think together  for a long-term development plan. 



The workshop is using a systems thinking approach to understand the informal settlement challenge in the city. 


Sheila Birungi, the KCCA Director Gender and Simon Kabogoza, the CEO Buganda Land Board, attended the workshop.
