The Minister of Gender, Labour and social develpment, Hon. Betty Amongi Akena has called on leaders of Older persons to mobilise for SAGE, SEGOP & PDM Uptake.
The Minister of Gender, Labour, and social development, Hon Betty Amongi Akena has called on the older persons to mobilise themselves and engage in productive development through Parish development model and the new grant, SEGOP (Special grant for older persons).
She emphasized the call while speaking at a meeting that was attended by councilors of older in Oyam Distric where she serves as the woman member of parliament. the meeting was in Northern Gateway Hotel and Lounge, Kamdini Township.
The Minister assured the leaders of the Support from H.E the President, Cabinet and Parliament, which has enabled SAGE to continue its operations.
