Mother to an Autism Spectrum Disorder Child to sue Planet Water Park Over discrimination.

 

Brenda Kabibi, a mother to a child of Autism spectrum disorder has threatened to sue the management of planet water park for discriminating against her daughter during a swimming session on 1st July 2023. 

How it started.

Brenda Kabibi claims that on the 1st of July 2023, she took five (5) children swimming at planet water park along Gaaba Road, of the five children, two were her biological, and of which one was an Autism spectrum disorder child.

Kabibi narrates that after paying them the required fee, she took a seat and the kids started enjoying the waters. no sooner had her five kids entered the water than the manager of the facility ordered the Autism child to get out of the swimming pool.

"The manager approached me after getting out my little girl from the pool, he claimed that my child was scaring away other children because of her appearance and looks" - Kabibi.

At this point, Kabibi was recording the manager on her smartphone. 

After vacating the area, Kabibi with drove to Kabalagala police station and filed a case against planet water park though she claims police were not so helpful. 

A few days after the accidence, the management at  Planet Water Park released a press statement apologizing and giving Kabibi and her five (5) free services at the facility.
