Residents of Semuto Town Council in Nakaseke District Sunday morning woke up to shocking news of the death of a businessman who was shot dead by unidentified gunmen.
Luwaga John, a businessman & Land dealer in Ssemuto, was shot dead at 11:00pm on Saturday 15th 2023.
According to sources, the assailants used his own car (Toyota Wish) to flee.
This car was intercepted by police in Namaliga, Bombo as assailants maneuvered through the villages to flee.
It has been alleged that among the occupants in the car was a Uganda people's defense force (UPDF) soldier.
The suspected killer gun has been recovered from the same car.
The police investigations team is on ground to establish the motive of the murder,” Savana Region police spokesperson Sam Twineamazima commented on the incident.
