It is suspected that at least Ten (10) pupils have died in a road accident which occurred on Tuesday, 8th August, 2023 in kufu trading center, Manafwa District, after a fuso Tata registration number UBJ 994J which is said to have been carrying over 200 kids overturning.
According to tentative reports from Eyewitnesses the Pupils were from a music dance and drama competition, which was held Yesterday at St. Edwards secondary school.
It is said that the pupils are from Nakhupa primary school.
The accident happened at around 10 pm.
According to eye witnesses, The cause of the accident has been attributed to over speeding, where the truck driver failed to negotiate a sharp corner in kufu roundabout off to Lwakhakha road.
Police had not issued an official statement by the time of filing this story.
