Besigye Tormentor, Arinaitwe Bwana jailed on allegations of forceful sexual intercourse with maid
Bwana, a senior police officer is known for his ‘terrible’ ways of policing remembering how he used to torture former FDC president Kizza Besigye during violent arrests, once he mercilessly smashed his car windows before he showered him with liters of deadly substance in the face.
Buganda Road Court today heard that the suspect, brought the 23-year-old, female victim from Ntungamo District to work as a maid, but later allegedly started coercing her into repeated acts of sex at his home in Bandwe-Nalumunye.
”The suspect was arrested, investigated, and now charged to court. More charges are pending retrieval of DNA results,” confirmed Uganda Police Spokesperson Fred Enanga adding;
”The fact that the suspect is a sworn police officer with a duty to protect the public makes the case more egregious. His appearance in court shows our commitment to fight all persons who victimize vulnerable citizens, irrespective of their status.”
Not First Scandal
In 2021, Bwana was arrested over allegations of rape after being accused of ‘eating’ a school-going child.
Information leaked that a city woman stormed CID headquarters demanding for counseling her daughter over sexual violence and was not concentrating in school. By that time, it is said Bwana was the officer in charge of the sexual and gender-based violence office and promised to help the old woman. The two allegedly exchanged contacts and promised to meet for more counseling.
It’s alleged that Bwana later got in touch with the woman and asked her to deliver the daughter in Nakawa. It’s said that he put the young girl in his car and later raped her.
