Ham is in panic as CAF is expected to approve New Nakivubo as a training facility for the 2027 AFCON

Tycoon Hamis Kiggundu is having sleepless nights over the delay in the approval of the new Nakivubo stadium to Host the 2027 AFCON Games.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:

Last month, officials from the Confederation of African Football (CAF) and the African Cup of Nations (AFCON) Visited various Sports facilities in Uganda to assess if they are eligible to host international games, specifically AFCON 2027.

Among the inspected grounds was the new Nakivubo stadium which is located in the city center of Kampala with a narrow entrance and exit.

Our reliable sources have tipped us that CAF is expected not to approve the new Nakivubo to host the 2027 AFCON games.

One of the reasons is that the facility is not strategically located, it is sounded by Shopping malls, narrow in & outlets, small parking spaces, etc.

Though our sources found out that CAF could allow the facility to act as a training facility during the 2027 AFCON games.

This indicates that the new Nakivubo Stadium, St. Mary's Stadium Kitemde and Wankulukuku shall be training facilities during the 2027 AFCON.
