"I preach the gospel but definitely not during work hours" - Lawyer Shivan Alinda clarifies.

Of recent, Kampala city has been flaked by several youth street preachers and 99% of them are either graduate or University students.

Surprisingly among the preachers on the streets is light-skinned Shivan Alinda who just of recently graduated from the Low Development Center (LDC).

HOW IT STARTED:

Early this week a video circulated on media where Alinda and her friend were captured preaching the gospel of God on the streets of Kampala.

After a few days, it was speculated that Alinda had abandoned her profession of law to street preaching.

"This is Shivan Arinda. She graduated with super grades from LDC last month. Now she is practicing as a street pastor, apparently because her pastor told her that it is her calling, not to practice the law. These churches are a total disgrace and they are killing our generation".

The above allegations prompted Alinda to respond to the public. According to her, she is still practicing law and she is fully employed in a law firm.

"To clear the air, I’ll respond as such; I am not unemployed as depicted in the tweet below. Neither was I instructed to leave my work to pursue street preaching.

I am in fact happily practicing the law.

I preach the gospel but definitely not during work hours.

According to our sources, Alinda's Family members have been on her neck asking her why she had resorted to city preaching than working".
