Opinion: Speaker Among should intervene in Terminally Ailing Mp Ssegirinya's Medical bill issue to Avoid a Blame Game - Journalist Musamali Arnold.

I believe it is high time the Speaker of the 11th Parliament, Rt. Hon. Anita Among thought of directly handling Mp Ssegirinya's medical bills before the public gets to the blaming game.

What You Need To Know.

Critically Ill Kawempe North Member of Parliament Hon Ssegirinya Muhammad claims parliament and the National Unity platform (NUP) have deliberately refused to pay his accumulating hospital bills.

Ugandans loved, Welcomed You, and Embraced the hope of reliance on you.

You had immediate successes of good laws that intended to preserve human rights and culture that is to say the Anti-homosexuality Bill that became the law.

Now a small challenge of Segirinya Muhammad's health helpless challenge will tarnish and wash away your achievements.

Everything has a right to life, more so your legislatures, you're the mother of the house, Please wash your hands before they get dirty.

According to Ssegirinya, Parliament had pledged to handle all the hospital bills including upkeep.

Before being flown to Germany last week, Ssegirinya was in Nairobi hospital for almost a week and the immediate relative revealed to us that almost 50 million shillings were spent.

Ssegirinya is currently in Germany after his health deteriorated after spending almost two years in jail.

In a phone call with us, Hon Ssegirinya alleged that he has not received any single coin from parliament or the National Unity Platform (NUP).

"I've been spending my own money yet parliament promised to facilitate everything, not even my party has helped me out financially. Things are so expensive here in Germany and I've now run out of funds" - Ssegirinya.

He further called upon the concerned authority at parliament and NUP to respond as soon as possible to avoid accumulating bills.
