A 30-year-old female has shown interest of contesting in 2026 general election on a slot which has been referred to as a men slot in Bugisu region.

 

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:

 

Bungokho central is currently being represent by Hon Wanda Richard who outed Hon Mike Welikhe Kafwabusa, who had been in parliament since 1996.

 

Bungokgo Central is among the new constituencies which were created in 2020, it was bisected from the great Bungokho South to create two counties, namely: Bungokho central and Bungokho South.

 

WHO IS HELLEN NEBOSHI:


She is an accountant by profession, a mother of two girls and a wife to a senior city journalist, Musamali Arnold, who is commonly known as Freeman.


Education Background:


She went to Rongoro primary School for her primary.

Hellen joined Hilton High school Mukono for “O” & “A” level, she then joined Kyambogo University where she attained a degree in Art & Economics. She is currently at Makerere University mastering.

 

Background:


She is a total orphan who hails from mile 8 off Tororo road and was raised by a grandmother.

 

WHY DID SHE OPT TO RUN FOR A SLOT OF MEN.


“I’ve gown up seeing my people in my constituency look like orphans on national cake level, Bungokho central has always been let down because we are always sending people who totally don’t understand the real needs, we voters want.


Most of them think of us when it is time for elections and that’s when they bring for us “lukumi lukumi” asking for a vote”- Said Hellen Neboshi.

 

She further noted that Bungokho needs to make a change and have young blood with a new ideas and connections.

 

“We the youths are aware of the problems in our communities, I am not here to promise heaven on earth but at list I can do much better than those men who have been sleeping in parliament”- Neboshi Hellen.

 

According to her, she claims most of the Mps who have represented Bungokho, enrich themselves than doing service delivery to the voters.
