Organizers failed to pull numbers during the 4th Youth Bussiness Forum which took place yesterday, 24th October 2024, and was graced by the president of Uganda, HE. Yoweri Kaguta Museveni.
The law turn-up saw the minister of investment, Hon Evelyn Anite unhappy because she is well known for pulling numbers, most especially if the fountain of honor is expected to attend.
Our sources informed us that the National Female Youth Member of Parliament and Chairperson of the Parliamentary Forum on Youth Affairs, Hon. Phiona Nyamutoro was lamed for failing to fill up kololo, embarrassing the president.
"The president almost spoke to empty chairs, we have numbers but I don't know Nyamutoro failed to consult from us on how we always do it"- One official said after the event. The event which started at exactly 8:30 am had empty seats up mid-day. According to our reporter, numbers added up when University and High school students were ferried in. This was a few minutes before the arrival of the President.
At exactly 2:30 pm the president arrived but still the numbers were down and the MC ordered people to social distance to observe COVID-19 SOPs.
It is estimated that 300-400 guests attended the Expo.
