"Africa's youth is its strength! With most under 25, enhancing digital literacy is our gateway to a thriving digital economy. Let's equip our future leaders with essential skills," Dr. Aminah Zawedde, the Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of ICT Uganda.
Dr. Zawedde made the remarks today, 25th October 2023, during the opening of the ICDL Africa Annual Forum 2023 in Kigali.
Dr Zaweddde further revealed that "Uganda's digital transformation roadmap lights the way to a future where knowledge and innovation drive growth.
"We are grateful for partners like @ICDLAfrica and ICDL foundation for guiding our journey. Together, we'll achieve digital excellence"- Dr. Zawedde

With 33 Accredited testing centers and 11,030 certified candidates, we're on the right path. Let's keep learning, partnering, and implementing for a digitally skilled nation,"- Dr. Zawedde.
While giving his submissions, the Prime Cabinet Secretary of the Republic of Kenyand & Diaspora Affairs, Dr. @MusaliaMudavadi said the world is undergoing a profound digital revolution. This means that in the digital age, digital skills literacy has become a necessity for everyone.
The event gathers prominent stakeholders to discuss challenges and opportunities in advancing digital literacy across diverse sectors on the continent.
