Postmortem results for murdered tourists still pending.




The government of Uganda has revealed that the postmortem results for the two foreign tourists who were murdered while on their honey moon at queen Elizabeth national park by suspected ADF terrorists last week, are still pending after the bodies were transferred to mulago national referral hospital.
Speaking at their weekly security presser in Naguru, the police spokesperson Fred Enanga confirmed that the postmortem will be done in conjunction with the foreign forensics teams where the two Nationals originate from.

“the bodies of the two foreign tourists the Briton and south African are still at the mortuary at mulago national referral hospital we are still pending the arrival of foreign forensics teams from the UK and also from south Africa who will be working with our teams of pathological experts, CID and intelligence teams. We are waiting for the arrival of these forensic experts to review circumstances, evidence gathered and forensic analysis of the samples collected from the scene,” said Enanga

Enanga said the official report will be released to members of the general public upon conclusion of all their postmortem, where the bodies will then be handed over to the high Commission of both Britain and South Africa respectively.
Regarding the Ugandan victim, Eric Alyai who was their driver Enanga revealed that their team handed over the body to the family members after a successful medical examinations.

“meanwhile the body of a Ugandan guide the driver Eric Alyai was thoroughly examined and handed over to the relatives after the postmortem examinations.”said Enanga

According to Enanga, their preliminary investigations indicated that the crime was committed by 5 murderers who later fled to Bwera kikorongo upon completion of their mission on the innocent tourists.

He however, said that their joint security teams from the police and the Army have been enhanced along the roads in Kasese to search for the suspected killers.

“the updf, mountain brigade and forces from the Uganda wildlife authority are continuing with the aggressive pursuit of the suspected terrorists who were numbering about 5. The safety of tourists continues to be a priority in this country, we have as a result adjusted and stepped up patrols along the major roads and highways in Kasese district you remember this was the second attack that happened on one of the highway and other one happened on a public road in queen Elizabeth national park.” He revealed 

The scary incident happened last week at Queen Elizabeth national park where two lovers who were on a honey moon, were murdered together with their tour guide and their vehicle set on fire by suspected ADF terrorists according to police preliminary investigations.
