UPC leaders have urged government to solve the ongoing insecurities in the country amicably for example through dialogue with their enemies that include the allied democratic forces(ADF) in the DRC who've continuously attacked the country killing several innocent Ugandans with school attack in mpondwe being one of them.
Speaking during today's briefing at their head offices in Kampala, the party spokesperson Oyat Arach Sharon expressed her concerns regarding the insecurities in the country citing recent examples at a school in Mpondwe-Lhubiriha including the recent brutal and cowardly murder of two foreign tourists together with their driver all happening in the same region.
“UPC therefore calls upon the government of Uganda and all its security agencies to strive and ensure the safety and security of all Ugandans. As a party we also call upon the government to carryout dialogue and reconciliation in the affected regions to ensure stability.” She said.
Arach on behalf of UPC, also joined the rest of the country in eulogising the death of hon. Kyemba Henry who passed on last Thursday.
Minister Kyemba was a Ugandan political infigure who held several high positions and finally became Minister of Health during Uganda’s rule by Idi Amin. He served in that post from February 1974 until May 1977, when he fled into exile. He was also the author of State of Blood, a 1977 book he wrote after his flight from Uganda that describes Amin's tyrannical rule.

She also acknowledged the late's role played in the struggle to end the tyrant Regime which was being run by Idi Amin Dada including the book he wrote dubbed “The state of blood in Uganda" which spearheaded the struggle.
“His contribution to the anti Idi Amin struggle is seen more by going into exile and authoring a book titled,“The state of Blood in Uganda”. As a senior cabinet minister his book contributed to the understanding of the operations of Idi Amin's state Apparatus”. Said Arach
The Late former minister Henry Kyemba will be laid to rest at his ancestral home in bugembe Jinja district this Thursday.
