Airtel hands over a cheque of Ush.265million to busoga kingdom.


Airtel telecom company has today contributed a total of 265 million Uganda shillings towards the upcoming busoga royal wedding slated for November 18in Bugembe Jinja district.

The cheque was issued to the busoga royal wedding organising committee at Sheraton hotel in Kampala by the managing director of Airtel mobile money Mr. Japhet Aritho on behalf of the company.

"I just say thank you the busoga community for standing with Airtel and also standing with Airtel money since the time Airtel invested in this market. Today may be what we have done in a nutshell, we have handed over a cheque first of all in cash of 40million Uganda shillings and 225 million in addition towards the big event that is upcoming on 18th November.” The manager revealed 

Meanwhile Osman Ahmed who is the second deputy Katikiro of Busoga kingdom, applauded the management of Airtel company for the financial support rendered to their kingdom.

"Iam here today to thank Airtel Uganda who have joined us in supporting the preparations and contributed towards the historical event that is coming up on the 18th November 2023. As Busoga kingdom we want to express our sincere gratitude towards the contribution that has been made to busoga kingdom in preparation of the royal wedding.” Said the deputy Katikiro 

The much anticipated royal wedding of His Majesty Kyabazinga William Gabula Nadiope IV and Inhebantu Jovia Mutesi will take place on 18th November 2023 in Bugembe.
