ICT Regional Cluster Meeting kicks off in Nairobi.


A Regional Meeting of the ICT Cluster of the Northern Corridor Integration Projects has opened in Nairobi on Wednesday, 8th November, 2023,  morning.

The ICT cluster is composed of Uganda as chair, Rwanda, South Sudan and Kenya.

The Nairobi meeting is expected to receive feedback on the implementation of One Network Area among partner states and suggest possible ways to close the grey areas as directed during the 14th Summit of Heads of State.

The meeting is being chaired by Dr. Aminah Zawedde, the Technical chair of the ICT Infrastructure Development Cluster under the NCIPs.

The Ugandan Delegation also includes; Amb. Richard Kabonero, the National Coordinator of the Northern Projects and Mr. Evans P. Aryabaha, the Acting Head of the Republic of Uganda High Commission, Nairobi.

The Rwandan Delegation is led by Mr. Mathieu Ntegano, the Senior Telecommunications Services and System Officer, Rwanda Utilities Regulatory Authority (RURA).


The Republic of South Sudan delegation is led by Eng. Simon Philip Ali, the Director for Planning and Business Development while the host country; the Republic of Kenya delegation is led by Mr. Timothy Were, a director from the Ministry of ICT and Digital Economy who is accompanied by staff from the Communications Authority of Kenya.

The meetings in Nairobi will report to the Permanent Secretaries and the Ministerial meeting of the ICT Cluster tomorrow, Thursday, Nov 9th.
