No Kwepicha On The Wedding Day Of The Kyabazinga Of Busoga.

No conjugal rights for subjects ahead of busoga royal wedding.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW.

On November 18 2023,  at Jinja's Bugembe Christ Cathedral, Kyabazinga Wiliam Gabula Nadiope IV and Ms Jovia Mutesi are scheduled to exchange.

The wedding is expected to be one of the extra ordinary in the country.

According to event organisers, the event will have more than 11 receptions, though the main reception will be held at the palace with only 500 invited guests.

According to elders in Busoga, no one should be allowed to take part in conjugal rights on the wedding day.

it has been established that it is a tabu in Busoga kingdom for any Musoga or any one in the area to share a bed with an opposite sex or have s*x together on this day.

the elders also revealed that all Basoga people should sleep not sleep on the beds but rather lay the mattresses on the floor on the D-day.

When asked about the consequences incase one breaks the rules, the elders claimed that the gods will punish whoever opts to have s*x on the wedding day.

After researching more from other elders about it,  we were told that it's not a crime to have sex, but it was something related to all kyabazinga's subjects not to stay at their homes on the king's, wedding night... Which literally meant total happiness ...dancing and  drinking.
