Religious Leaders Shun The NUP Joint Christmas Prayers Over Bobi Wine's Remarks Of Supporting Homosexuals.



Earlier today, the National Unity platform political party held a joint prayers at it's headquarters in Makerere-Kavule.

Surprisingly, No recorgonised Religious was willing to attend or take part in the activity, inside sources has it that this is due to Bobi Wine's Remarks in regards to Homosexuality status in the country. 

It should be noted that few weeks ago while speaking on BBC, Bobi Wine was in support of LGBTQ community, this could have annoyed the religious leaders in Uganda who are always against Homosexuality. 

According to administrators at the National Unity platform, Five leaders of different opposition parties sent letters to to 7 major religions inviting them to preside over the prayers, though, non appeared neither sent anyone to represent them.

Other political icons in attendence included:- Gen Mugisha Mutu, the president of ANT, Dr. Kizza Besigye, Lord mayor, Erias Lukwago,  Winnie Kizza and others.
