A village Footballer, Robert Wamandu, a resident of Purunyende, Nyondo Sub-county, Mbale District has been pronounced dead by Dr. In Mbale Hospital after sustaining head injuries that resulted from a fight.
HOW IT STARTED:
According to Eyewitnesses, Wamandu was attacked by a group of youths of Khahwelatwela village, in Nyondo Sub-county as he was on his way heading to his home.
It has been alleged that one of the group members hit Wamandu, the late now with a stone.
Other eyewitnesses say he was carried by the youths who eventually dropped him down on the ground and he hit his head on a sharp stone.
He was rushed to Mbale Hospital after the incident at around 11 am, unfortunately, he passed away this morning.
