There was drama in the Northern City Division in Mbale over the weekend as angry Voters chased away their area member of Parliament, Hon. Seth Wambede from a burial ceremony. According to the angry group of residents, they complained of his poor service delivery and alleged vote rigging in the 2021 general elections.
The residents/mourners shouted at their MP as soon as he had been invited to make his remarks at the burial ceremony.

What You Need To know:
In the 2021 general elections, Hon. Seth Wambede was declared a winner in a tight race of more than 6 candidates including National Unity platform's Ivan Masaba, though it was alleged that he cheated the election.
The election petition was filed against him by Ivan Masaba of NUP, though Masaba lost it all in both the lower court and court of appeal.
Masaba was ordered by the court to vomit over 266m as compensation after losing both cases .
