On Wednesday this week, the Keddi Foundation spent a whole day on Kampala City streets feeding over 700 street children.
At Queensway Park in Kampala City, over 700 street kids gathered to feel the blessing of a giving hand as the foundation team headed by the CEO, Mr. Keddi Steven Zuluba went to share their lunch with them and some words of advice.
Keddi revealed why they chose to share food with the street children who are homeless because many end up on streets for different reasons. Additionally, he noted that such people must be thought about if the country is striving to build a nation where all citizens live in dignity.
According to Mr Keddi Steven, he says giving them food is not a solution but as Keddi Foundation, they've set a plan of skilling them for economic empowerment.
"Besides sharing food with the street kids, words of hope were delivered to them and as a foundation, we promised to provide over 1000 kids with technical and vocational skills that include tailoring, Hairdressing, and carpentry, among others from our various vocational institutes"- Keddi Steven noted.
Keddi further revealed that as a foundation, they pledge to always serve humanity in all sectors.
"The mission is always to change the lives of our people" - Keddi Steven.
