In a heartwarming gesture, the Speaker of Parliament, Anita Annet Among has come to the aid of a couple grappling with the challenges of raising newly born triplets. The family, facing financial difficulties, received a substantial start-up capital of ten million shillings from the speaker during a meeting this morning in Parliament. The meeting was also attended by Maria Matembe and other members of parliament who also vowed no support the family.
It was established that Mt Kalema Bshir and Kayaga Sofia had five children before God blesses them with a set of triplets late last year.
The Speaker, known for championing community welfare, expressed concern for the struggling family and recognized the need for immediate assistance. The ten million shillings grant, according to Ms Among, is intended to alleviate the financial burden on the family, offering them an opportunity to create a sustainable source of income.
‘’This small token is to empower you establish a business that will provide a stable environment for the upbringing of their triplets,’’ She said.
During the briefing, the Speaker highlighted the importance of community support and solidarity in times of need and called upon other leaders to help those in need in their communities.
