Speaker Among Urged MP Nsereko To Maintain Unity & Carry Forward The Family Line As She Eulogized His Father.


The Speaker of the Parliament of Uganda Rt. Hon.  Anita Among has visited the home of Kampala Central MP Muhammad Nsereko to express his condolences on the loss of his father, Abdul Nsereko who passed away last night. 

In one of her messages, the Speaker urged MP Nsereko to maintain unity and carry forward the family line.

"It is God who gives and takes, you need to be strong and take on your late father's assignments of keeping the family united"- Speaker among said. 

The Speaker of Parliament, Anita Annet Among, also  expressed her deepest condolences to Member of Parliament Kampala Central, Muhammad Nsereko, and his family on the passing of his father. In a brief statement, Among extends her sympathies and prayers to the bereaved family during this difficult time. 

"I offer my deepest condolences, along with those from the Parliament of Uganda, on the passing of your father, Alhajj Nsereko Abdul. May the Almighty Allah grant you and your family strength during this difficult time," she said. 

Different leaders have praised Alhajj Abdul, a respected member of the community, who left an indelible mark on the lives of many through his dedicated service and unwavering commitment to his family and the people of Uganda.

His passing is a great loss not only to his loved ones but also to the nation as a whole. Nsereko, who was a presenter at Radio Uganda in the 1970s died on Tuesday night. 

He served as a Resident District Commissioner in different districts and was a devoted supporter of the ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM) government. 

MP Nsereko has stated that friends and family members are currently gathered at the deceased's home in Bugoloobi as they work on the burial arrangements. 

He expressed shock, as he was with his father on Tuesday evening, and he seemed lively and did not show any signs of serious sickness. 

"He was diabetic, but I was chatting with him yesterday, and he was so lively. But he later passed away," he said.

Prayers for the deceased are expected to take place at Kibuli Mosque at 9:00 am on Thursday, and later the body will be transported to Bulika, Nama Sub County in Mukono district for burial at 2:00 pm.
