Four individuals traveling in a black Toyota Harrier were fatally shot dead at approximately 3:30 pm today by suspected armed assailants along Lemusui Road in Akonguyo village, Amudat District.
IP Longole Mike, Ag PRO of MT MOROTO/ASTU, confirmed the incident, stating that detectives, accompanied by a canine unit, gathered evidence and recorded witness statements at the scene.
"The victims, all from Mbale city, have been transported to Amudat Hospital mortuary for postmortem examination and collection by their relatives," Longole said.
Longole noted that No arrests have been made thus far, and the motive behind the attack remains under investigation.
"Authorities strongly condemn this senseless act of violence against innocent road users," He said.
