Uganda U20 Women’s National Football Team will miss two key players as they take on Nigeria in the semifinals on Monday at Cape Coast Stadium.
Left back Docus Lwalisa and utility player Krusum Namutebi will not be available after accumulating two yellow cards each.
According to the tournament rules, if a player gets two bookings, they are ruled out of the subsequent game.
Both Lwalisa and Namutebi got booked in group games against Ethiopia and Ghana.
Lwalisa has been key at left back and also got onto the score sheet in the 2-0 win over Ethiopia.
Namutebi on the other hand was first deployed as a defensive midfielder in the game against Tanzania.
She has since played been deployed as a make shift defender in two games, first against Ethiopia when Shakirah Nankwanga got injured.
In the final group game against Ghana, Namutebi started alongside Phionah Nabulime at the heart of defence.
There is a however a boost for Uganda with Nankwanga returning from suspension.
The winner between Uganda and Nigeria will take on either Ghana or Senegal who face off in the other semifinal.
