Trouble As Keffa Mafumo, A State House Official Threatens To Expose Former Minister Kitutu In The Goats Dubious Deal

 

After being dropped last week as a minister of Karamoja, Mary Minister Goretti Kitutu is yet to get another challenge, as a state house official moves to expose their dirty Goat dubious deal.

Our informers have confirmed  to us that war between Kitutu and her former political assistant, who now works in the state house has deepened. 

Keffa Mafumo, was once Kitutu's Political assistant before landing the juice job in the state house. 

What you need to Know: 

Kitutu is battling corruption cases in court, pending judgement. 

Earlier last year, Minister Kitutu and other government officials were accused of mismanaging Karamoja Iron sheets, which led to loss of government funds. 

Our sources confirmed to us that Keffa is the one who leaked the to state house Anti-corruption unity in regards with what Kitutu had looted from the office of the prime Minister. 

How it started: 

According to info on our desk, Over 14bn shillings was released in the Supplementary budget last year, the funds were ment to procure indigenous goats for Karamoja region. 

This was a presidential initiative of getting the Karicuna's out of poverty. 

Upon receiving the funds,   the Karamoja Ministery awarded contracts to supplier, of which one co. belonged to Mafumo Keffa. 

Unfortunately, it was alleged that Mafumo supplied substandard goats which were sick of Food and mouth disease. 

Upon distributing them to the beneficiaries in Karamoja, the supplied goats died immediately. 

This led to a demonstration from the beneficiaries, who petition Minister Kitutu for supplying them with sick goats. 

Kitutu immediately summoned, Mafumo the supplier over the allegations from the beneficiaries. It is at this point that Mafumo let the cat out by tipping off state house Anti-corruption unity of Kitutu's loot. 

According to our investigations, Mafumo is said to have given enough information on the whereabouts of Kitutu's loot, which had been stored in Situmi, Bukhaweka, at her mother's residence. 

Ever since then, Keffa and Kitutu have been having a rift. 

It is rumour that that Mafumo is planning to contest as a member of Parliament for Butiru constituency and Kitutu has vowed to de-campaign him. 

It was also alleged that Kitutu had vowed to influence  Mafumo's exit from his state house job but failed. 

Kitutu is also a woman Member of Parliament, Manafwa district and was also a minister of Energy and mineral development between 2020- 2021.
