KCB Bank Donates Food Items Worth Ugx4m to Support Muslim at Masjid Noor in Mbale.


As the Muslim community continues to observe the holy month of Ramadan, KCB Bank Mbale Branch, on Thursday, April 4th, 2024, donated food items worth Ugx4m to support the Muslims at Masjid Noor in Mbale city.

The donation including; rice, wheat flour, maize flour, sugar, soap, salt, and cooking oil among others. 

Alex Ogol, the Branch Manager told Bugisu intellectual, "social responsibility is one of our pillars, where we have to be relevant by giving back to the communities where we live."

"We mobilized about 4 million shillings to offer Sadaq during this period of fasting, and we shall continue doing the same, as we have always done, in other sectors like education." Ogol said. 

"We thank our management for allowing us to deliver these items, so that we remain as one community. Togetherness is strength." He added. 

Sheikh Abdullah Masaba, Deputy Imam of Masjid Noor in Mbale, who received the donation on behalf of the mosque, thanked KCB Mbale Branch for donating food items to us. 

He expressed gratitude for remembering that among their customers, they have Muslims, and for supporting our people by providing them with iftar.

Deputy RCC Banja Hamza praised KCB's generosity, urging other corporate entities and individuals to follow suit in supporting the less privileged during the final days of fasting. 

He encouraged people to open accounts with KCB, emphasizing the bank's commitment to community welfare.
