Dr. Kedi Steven Zuluba, the director of Kedi Foundation, convened a meeting with the political leadership of Butebo District.
The district chairman, alongside the CAO and the head of security, discussed various developmental issues, notably the inauguration of a groundbreaking 6.5-kilometer tarmac road—the first of its kind in Butebo District.
Additionally, plans for the commencement of the Keddi Smart City International project, starting in Namuswata, Butebo District and stretching up to Mbale city, were discussed by Dr. Steven Kedi.
He revealed that the launched tarmac road would be completed in a period of three to four weeks, marking the beginning of the Kedi Smart City International project.
Dr. Kedi further revealed that this road is the first step in the construction of Kedi Smart City, which will commence in June.
Fifty prominent dignitaries, including the richest man in the world Jeff Bezos, Donald Trump, Rihanna, and many others, will grace the groundbreaking ceremony in Namuswata ButeboDistrict.
He noted that the Kedi Smart City will accommodate forty million people from all over the continent and will create job opportunities for the people of Butebo and the surrounding districts.
Dr. Steven urged the residents of Butebo not to sell their land cheaply, as big investors are coming.
Finally, Dr. Kedi Steven thanked the leadership and security of Butebo district for agreeing to work with him on the development of Butebo, Bukedi districts, eastern Uganda, and beyond.
The Chief Administrative Officer of Butebo district, Madam Nabukwasi Florence, who was present at the launch of the 6.5-kilometer tarmac road, appreciated Dr. Kedi Steven Zuluba for starting development initiatives at home.
She emphasized that this is just the beginning of larger development plans that will bring numerous opportunities, including job opportunities, to the people of Butebo and beyond.
Madam CAO also revealed that Dr. Kedi is supporting them not only in the transportation sector but also in health, education, and water and sanitation.
She expressed prayers for continued blessings and successful implementation of Dr. Kedi's plans in the near future.
The District LCV Chairman, Mr. Okurut James, noted that the district had just launched a 6.5-kilometer tarmac road in Namuswata, where Kedi Smart City International will begin.
He expressed gratitude to Dr. Kedi Steven Zuluba for considering them in development efforts and highlighted the significance of the tarmac road in putting Butebo on the map.
Finally, the LCV chairman thanked Dr. Kedi for the partnership in road construction and other activities, emphasizing the importance of continued collaboration for the benefit of Butebo district.
The Head of Security in Butebo District, Madam Najjuma Juliet Senkoole, first thanked Dr. Steven Kedi Zuluba for the significant development of constructing the first-ever tarmac road in Butebo district.
Madam RDC further thanked Dr. Kedi Steven for envisioning the mega Kedi Smart City International, which will accommodate forty million people and provide employment opportunities.
Madam Najjuma assured Dr. Kedi of their commitment to ensuring security and monitoring the implementation of government programs to ensure quality work.
