Nandala Commends Late Umukuuka Wamimbi for Unity Efforts

Nathan Nandala Mafabi, Chairman of the Bugisu Cooperative Union, has lauded the late Umukuuka Wilson Weasa Wamimbi for his pivotal role in fostering unity within Bugisu.

Wamimbi, who served as the inaugural District head for Greater Bugisu, and later as Uganda's Ambassador to Canada, was also the first Umukuuka of the Bamasaaba Cultural Institution, Inzu Ya Masaaba. Until his recent passing, he held the position of Chairperson of the Vetting Committee of the Bugisu Cooperative Union -BCU.

Umukuuka Wamimbi's demise occurred last Friday evening at Mulago National Referral Hospital.

According to Nandala, Umukuuka Wamimbi commanded widespread respect throughout Bugisu, particularly for his dedication to unifying the region through principles of meritocracy and incorruptibility.
