More than 20 government officials were last year implicated in the karamoja iron sheets.

Almost 50% of whom were cabinet ministers and these included:-  The Vice President, HE. Jessica Alupo, the Prime Minister Rt. Hon. Robinah Nabbanja, the  Speaker of Parliament, Rt. Hon. Anita Annet Among, the finance Minister, Matia Kasaija, Deputy prime Minister, Lukia Nakadama, Minister of East Africa, Hon. Rebecca Kadaga Minister Karamoja affaires, Hon. Mary Gorrreti Kitutu, State Minister Karamoja, Hon. Agness Nandutu, Minister Amos Lugolobi, Government Chief Whip, Denis Hamson Obua, Minister of State for Agriculture Bwino Fred Kyakulaga, Minister of State for Relief, Disaster Preparedness and Refugees, Davinia Esther Anyakun, Minister of State for Bunyoro Affairs, Jennifer Namuyangu, State Minister for Finance (General Duties), Henry Musasizi, and many others.
The first to be charged was Karamoja Minister of Affairs Mary Gorette Kittutu and her brother. Others included Deputy Finance Minister Amos Lugoloobi and State minister  Karamojja affairs, Agnes Nandutu. 

It is therefore very complicated for the white man to blindfold Africans that the Sanctions of speaker Among is connected to the miss management of the Karamoja Iron sheets. 

The witch-hunt on Among by the white man is connected to the passing of the Anti-Homosexuality bill 2023.

The director of public prosecutions (DPP), Jane Francis Abodo confirmed that 17 files of senior government officials allegedly involved in the Karamoja iron sheet scam were now closed after a thorough investigation.

The Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP), Criminal Investigations Directorate (CID) and State House Anti–Corruption Unit (SHACU) also revealed that out of the 37 files that were under investigation, only 20 were valid and investigations were still going on.

This was disclosed on the  24th June 2023 during a press conference at her office in Kampala. 

In March 2023, both ODDP and CID commenced investigations into the alleged diversion and mismanagement of iron sheets and other relief items meant for the Karamoja Community Empowerment Programme, at the Office of the Prime Minister (OPM).
