How new political marketing strategies are being introduced in Namisindwa ahead of 2026 general elections

Political players in Namisindwa district have introduced new political marketing strategy ahead of 2026 general elections.

Among the strategies, includes branding on public transport vehicles.

One of the key players is Dr. Khanakwa Sarah Bwayo, who is eyeing for the position of Woman Member of Parliament in 2026.

One-on-one With Dr. Khanakwa Sarah Bwayo.

"Why have I come up" Dr. Khanakwa Sarah Bwayo Narrates reasons why she has decided to run for Namisindwa district woman MP seat.

I state this with confidence - that, based on the record of achievements I have made locally and nationally, I want to use this experience and platform of partnerships I have developed world over, not only to serve my people but to make Namisindwa a demonstration ground to Uganda and the World-over - that community engagement/participation crafted by passionate, technical, incorruptible and strategic leadership will make development a reality in our society!

Critical to note - Politics and technical capabilities are synonymous. We need passionate technical children of Namisindwa to come out and lead our development agenda as a district! As a young district, we can longer gamble on the leadership we entrust to move us forward! We need tested leaders with grounding knowledge in development work at community, national and international level. It’s only then that we shall have leaders that are able to relate with and formulate policies that are responsive to the needs of a community whose development is still at its lowest.

A technical, experienced leader has the ability to align district priorities with the national and international development agenda during policy formulation/development! We have no shortcut friends, this is a global village! The leaders we need should have an appreciation of the global development agenda which then feeds in the National, district and community strategies for sustainable development.

Friends we must pay attention to the kind of leaders we need in Namisindwa, if we have to deal with our obvious development challenges! It’s time for Namisindwa people to change our our mindset and accept that we need technical, experienced leaders that are not only passionate about the economic, social and environmental sustainable development of their district, but have also built a network of development partners nationally and internationally to ride on - identifying and having leaders with an already established network or able to develop strategic partnerships (social capital) is critical for us as a young district.

We may not achieve much alone but with a network of friends nationally and internationally, Namisindwa  district will soon be center of excellence providing lessons on the real-time development approaches.
