Kampala, Uganda – On Friday, June 21, 2024, Keddi Foundation, a humanitarian organization dedicated to serving humanity donated $5,000 to the newly launched Kanyeihamba Foundation at a fundraising event held at Imperial Royale Hotel in Kampala.
The Kanyeihamba Foundation was established by a group of well-wishers to perpetuate the legacy of the former Supreme Court Judge, Kanyeihamba, by promoting values of integrity, truth, transparency, and trust, and carrying out charitable works to uplift communities.
The donation was made during the grand opening of Kanyeihamba Foundation, which was attended by distinguished guests, including the Prime Minister of Uganda, Hon. Robinna Nabanja, represented by the Minister of Justice, Hon. Norbert Mao, Minister of Finance, Hon. Matia Kasaija, Hon. Dr. Miria Matembe among others.
Keddi Foundation’s CEO Hon. Keddi Steven, a Ugandan businessman and a Humanitarian, presented the donation on behalf of the Foundation, praising Justice Kanyeihamba for his significant contributions to the justice and law sector. He specifically highlighted Justice Kanyeihamba’s independence and courage as one of the three Supreme Court justices who ruled in 2006 that President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni’s re-election was fraudulent and should be nullified.
