His Excellency President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni

President of the Republic of Uganda

State House

Kampala, Uganda

Dear Mr. President,

I write to express my heartfelt appreciation for your unwavering commitment to combating corruption and ensuring accountability in the government and the country at large. Your leadership and vision have been instrumental in shaping Uganda's progress, and we acknowledge your efforts.

As a revolutionary youth from Eastern Uganda, I am compelled to remind you of the historical support our region offered during your struggle against the previous regime. The people of Bugisu, in particular, played a significant role in your survival, as I understand. It is unfortunate that our region seems to have been forgotten in the midst of your presidency.

I am writing to bring to your attention a pressing concern that affects many innocent citizens in our country Uganda . Your promise of maximum security for Ugandans and their property seems to be contradicted by the recent actions of your government. Many people are being evicted from their plots of land, and their houses are being demolished, citing that they were built in swamps and wetlands. NEMA, a government entity under your leadership, is reportedly monitoring these actions.

As a young generation that grew up learning about your presidency, we are disheartened by these developments. We constitute 75% of the population and are eager to contribute to the country's growth. I urge you to consider our involvement in your government, harnessing our energy, creativity, and innovative ideas to drive progress.

Mr. President, I implore you to intervene and resettle the displaced individuals. Your prompt response and action would bring hope and relief to those affected. We believe in your leadership and vision, and we are confident that together, we can build a brighter future for Uganda.

In the words of Nelson Mandela, "The youth of today are the leaders of tomorrow." I urge you to embrace this wisdom and empower us to become active participants in shaping our country's destiny.

Thank you for your time and consideration. I eagerly await your response.

Sincerely,

Emmanuel Walyaula
