The Prime Minister of Uganda Rt Hon Nabbanja Robinah yesterday, 2nd June, 2024, made a follow up on the progress of road construction within Kampala and the surrounding areas to establish why the contractors are moving at a slow pace.
Nabbanja and team today inspected road works on Sir Apollo Kaggwa Road, Suna 1 & 2 and later held a review meeting with contractors and KCCA officials.
The inspection is a follow up on the one conducted on thursday 30th May 2024.
Nabbanja called on key utility providers to enhance coordination and speed up the shifting of service lines to prevent further delays.
Expressing frustration with the current pace of progress, Nabbanja demanded immediate action from contractors and consultants.
Stressing the importance of timely and high-quality execution, Nabbanja warned against any form of sabotage to government efforts.
