Robert Kyagulanyi, the president of the National Unity Platform (NUP), has fired back at the former leader of opposition, Mathias Mpuuga, who accused some opposition leaders of using drugs and being drunkards.
Mpuuga made the comments during a social function over the weekend. He did not mention anybody by name.
However, at a press briefing today at Kavule, Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine, decided to take Mpuuga head on.
“You come and join the group led by Kyagulanyi whom you know are ‘drunkos’ and drug users? They appoint you to be deputy president to that one who leaders these ‘drunkos’ and drug users. You accept and even thank them. The same group appoint you the leadership of opposition and you even clap and thank them. The drug users appoint you commissioner, you accept and thank them,” he said.
Kyagulanyi said, sarcastically, that as drug users and ‘drunkos’, they only became a headache for Mpuuga when they tasked him over the Shs 500 million service award.
“I would have implored parents to educate their kids but the best thing is to raise them well,” he said.
