In a show of support for the local business community, Hon. Nathan Nandala Mafabi met with the Mbale Central Market executive and vendors today 30th July, 2024, he supported them with 10 million shillings to their Savings and Credit Cooperative Organization (Sacco).
This generous contribution aims to empower the market vendors, enhancing their financial stability and growth prospects. Hon. Mafabi's commitment to the community's economic development is truly commendable.

Mbale Central market, was commissioned in April 2014 by President Museveni, is one of the 19 markets established in Uganda under the Markets and Agriculture Trade Improvement Programme (MATIP) with funding from the African Development Bank (ADB) and the Government of Uganda.
It is one of the largest market in Eastern Uganda with a population of more than 1,00 vendors.
