Speeding Vehicle Claims Mother's Life; Child Hospitalized in Mbale

Authorities in Mbale City are looking into a heartbreaking accident that happened on Saturday evening in Nakaloke, along the Mbale-Soroti Highway. 

A speeding vehicle, allegedly owned by the Boys of Charity, hit two pedestrians who were crossing the road. 

The mother died at the scene, while her child was transported to Mbale Regional Referral Hospital for medical care.

The accident led to residents blocking the road in protest, demanding that UNRA install speed bumps to enhance safety.

The mother's body was taken to the Mbale City Mortuary for an autopsy as investigations proceed.
