The Uganda Electral Commission (EC) has rejected FDC-Katonga's request to register a new political vehicle, citing public confusion over the proposed name, "People's Front for Freedom," and its symbols due to its similarity with "People Power Front."
The group was advised to either join the People power front or look for another political party name.
The Katonga group broke off from the head offices in Najjanankubi after accusing each other for using president M7's money.
