A few days ago, Cherop Esther, a senior one student of Nabumali High School, passed away from Mt. Elgon Hospital in Mbale City, where she had been rushed for better treatment.

Police in Mbale is investigating the Mysterious Death of Cherop Ethster, an S1 student at Nabumali High School in Mbale District.
According to Titika Rogers, the Elgon Police spokesperson, the parents of the late filed a case demanding for investigation into the Misterius death of their child.
In an interview, Titika confirmed that the case was entered and investigations shall kick off as soon as possible.
Though according to our tentative investigation, source has it that before the death of Cherop Esther, there had been a misunderstanding between his father and mother, who had separated years ago.
According to our informers at Nabumali High school, Cherop Esther, the late now was sick off and on and could always get sick permission to go for treatment at home.
Our source also informed to us that the late Cherop had just returned from home in the week she passed on.
"We took her to our school sickbay, which is fully equipped with professionals, though our Nursing officers advised the administration to contact the parents for better treatment because the conditions had worsened. The administration immediately contacted her parent, and she was taken out of the school for better treatment; it so unfortunate that we lost her" - one of the informers, whose name Hel,d told us.
It has been alleged that after her death, the parents decided to blame the school for notifying them late.
Another source has it that the father of the late has put the mother under pressure, asking her to explain how his daughter died yet he had all the money to pay bills in a better hospital.
