During a district teachers' day celebration in Sironko Town Council, teachers endorsed Florence Nambozo, the current Sironko District Woman MP and State Minister for Karamoja Affairs, for the 2026 election.
They expressed their support, explaining that Nambozo, as one of their own, has always stood by them.
Nambozo who was the guest of honour for the event appreciated teachers for enduring and sacrificing to share knowledge with children. She asked them to embrace government programs and love one another.
