The Speaker of Parliament, Anita Among, has arrived in Accra, Ghana, to attend the Conference of Speakers and Presidents of African Legislatures (CoSPAL).

This conference, established in 2020, unites African legislative leaders to tackle shared challenges and foster cooperation.

"As Speakers and Presidents of African Legislatures, we must work together to address our continent's pressing issues," Anita Among emphasized.

"CoSPAL provides a vital platform for collective action, ensuring Africa's development agenda remains on track."

CoSPAL's objectives include Facilitating open discussions among legislative leaders to identify solutions, building partnerships to drive Africa's development and Encouraging mutual support among member states.

Anita Among, Uganda's first Speaker since 2022, brings valuable experience to the conference. Her participation underscores Uganda's commitment to African cooperation and development.
